Out here at Bank Colony near Alipurduar Chowpatty, we deal with the more industrial side of things. Minerals aren't exactly a glamorous business, but they are necessary for so many other industries to function. Most of our days are spent coordinating shipments and checking the quality of what comes in from the source. The yard can get pretty muddy when it rains, and there’s always the constant sound of trucks coming and going. We aren't sitting in an air-conditioned office all day long. Usually, we are out there checking the piles or talking to the drivers about their routes and any delays they faced. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the weights are right on the scales every time. We started small, and we’ve stayed pretty grounded even as we’ve grown a bit over the years. There’s a lot of paperwork involved in this kind of trade, which none of us really enjoys, but it has to be done to keep things legal. We’ve built some good relationships with the locals and the businesses that rely on us for their raw materials. Alipurduar is a busy spot, and being right by the Chowpatty keeps us in the middle of everything. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department to speak of. We just focus on getting the materials where they need to go. It’s honest, gritty work, and we are fine with that. As long as the trucks are moving and the customers are satisfied, we feel like we’ve done our bit.
