Selva Hospital

This hospital is located at 6/309 on the Madurai Rameshwaram Road. We are right near the Muslim Higher Secondary School, so it gets very busy when the kids are coming or going. The road outside is always full of buses and cars heading towards Rameshwaram. We have been here in Madurai for quite some time now. The building is a bit older, but it serves its purpose. We get all sorts of people walking in. Some are travelers who got sick on the road, and many are local residents who have lived here forever. It is a hot place, so we try to keep the fans running all day long. We handle emergencies and general health stuff. The nurses are usually running around with trays and charts. It is a lot of noise and activity most days. We do not have any fancy mission statements posted on the walls. We just show up and do the work. The waiting area can get a bit cramped when it is a public holiday or a busy Monday. We just try to get everyone seen eventually. It is a practical place for people who need medical care without a lot of fuss. We know the neighborhood well and the neighborhood knows us. It is not a corporate chain, just a local hospital on a busy road. We just keep going, day after day, helping whoever comes through the gate.
