Lavanya Store

Lavanya Store is located at 5/339 A-2 on Sowkathali Street. We are right near Ab School, so things get really loud when the bells ring and the kids come out to play or go home. We sell a bit of everything that people in the neighborhood might need. It’s a small space, so we have to use every inch of the shelves. Sometimes things are a bit cluttered and messy. We open up early so parents can grab things on the way to dropping their kids off. It’s a family-run thing. My brother helps out in the afternoons when I need a break. We have a small fridge for cold drinks that makes a lot of noise. The street outside is narrow, so parking is always a bit of a problem for customers. We know most of the people who walk by every day. It’s not just about selling stuff; it’s about being part of the street. We don't have a computer for billing, we just use a notebook and a small calculator. It works fine for us. Sometimes we run out of bread or milk faster than we expected. It’s just the way it goes. We try to keep the front tidy but the wind blows leaves in all the time. It’s a simple life at the store. We just stay open and help out whoever comes through the door.
