Annai Nivetha Catterring College

Over on Main Road in Ramanathapuram, you’ll find Annai Nivetha Catterring College. We’ve been teaching people how to cook and manage food for quite a while now. The building is right there where everyone passes by. Most of the students come from nearby villages or the 623501 zip code area. It gets pretty hot in the kitchens during the day, especially when everyone is busy with the stoves. We don't really do big advertisements. Most people just hear about us from their neighbors. The classrooms are filled with pots, pans, and textbooks. It’s practical work. You learn by doing things with your hands here. Sometimes the smells from the cooking labs drift out onto the street. We have a few regular instructors who have been with us for years. They aren't fancy chefs, just people who know how to run a kitchen properly. We make sure the students understand the basics of catering. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and getting things right. The floors get messy, but we clean up at the end of the day. It’s a straightforward place. If you want to learn about the food business, this is where we do it. We don’t have a big campus, just the building on the main road. Students usually grab tea at the stall next door during breaks. It is hard work but it keeps everyone busy and learning useful skills for life.
