You can find us at Murtem House, right over near the Gyan Ganga School in the Chandranagar area of Itanagar. Being in the capital, things can get pretty hectic out on the streets, especially during the school run or when people are headed to work. Our building isn’t the newest one on the block, but it serves its purpose for the research and the hospital work we do here. Most of us have been working in this part of Arunachal Pradesh for a long time, so we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. We spend our days mostly in the labs or checking in on patients who come through the doors. It’s a lot of walking back and forth between the different rooms. Sometimes we have students from the school nearby or parents stopping by to ask questions. We try to keep things organized, but in a busy hospital, there’s always a bit of chaos, like a pile of files that needs sorting or a lightbulb that just went out. The staff usually takes their lunch breaks together when there’s a quiet moment, talking about local news or whatever is happening in town. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything; we just focus on the people who are actually in the building. It’s a practical setup, and we do what we can with the space we have in Murtem House. It gets rainy here, so the lobby often has a few umbrellas drying out.
