M S Organic Farms

Living and working out here on Netaji Road keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset. M S Organic Farms isn’t a huge operation, just a regular spot in P N Palayam where we deal with the land and the crops. We spend a lot of time checking the soil and watching the weather reports. It’s 96 on the street, right where the road curves a bit. People stop by sometimes just to see what’s growing this time of year. We don’t use those heavy chemicals you see in the big commercial places. It makes the work a lot harder because the weeds grow fast and we have to pull them. My boots are usually covered in mud by ten in the morning. That’s just how it goes when you’re out in the fields every single day. We aren't trying to be the biggest farm in the area. We just want to make sure the stuff we grow is decent and clean. Sometimes the harvest is great, and sometimes the rain doesn't show up when we really need it to. We deal with it as it comes. It's a simple life. We have a small shed for the tools and a place to sit when the sun gets too hot in July. Most of our neighbors are doing the same thing, so we help each other out when a tractor gets stuck. It's quiet work mostly, just us and the plants.
