Our unit is tucked away in Plot No. 1 at MIDC Taloja. It’s a massive industrial area in Navi Mumbai, and it can feel a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to all the factories and warehouses. Navade Road is the main way in, and it’s usually packed with heavy vehicles and commuters trying to get through the day. Working here means getting used to the noise of the machinery and the constant activity of the industrial zone. We are in Unit N-B1, which is just one part of the bigger operation. There isn't much green space around, just a lot of concrete and steel. We start early when the air is still a bit fresh before the Taloja heat really sets in. Most of the day is spent handling cement orders and making sure the logistics side of things doesn't fall behind. It’s a lot of paperwork and physical oversight. We eat our lunch in a small break area and talk about the traffic on the way home. People outside might not think much of an industrial plot, but there’s a lot of coordination happening inside these walls. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the look of the place. It’s built for work and that is what we do. From the morning shift until the evening, it’s all about the cement and the trucks waiting at the gate near Navade Road.
