Vida Cashews

The place is right here on West Street in Vegakollai. If you come down this way, you’ll find us at No. 170/1. It’s a pretty standard spot, nothing too fancy to look at from the outside, but it’s where everything happens for Vida Cashews. We spend most of our daylight hours here dealing with the nuts, sorting through what comes in and making sure things are moving along like they should. The post office is nearby so that makes things a bit easier when we have to get things sent out. Sometimes the street gets a bit dusty when the wind picks up, but that is just how it is around here. We’ve got a small team and we just get on with the work. It’s not a quiet job, there is always some noise from the bags being moved or people talking while they work. We don't really have a big office or anything, just the space we need to get the cashews ready. Most days start pretty early because that’s when it’s cooler. By the time the sun is high, we’re usually well into the middle of the day’s tasks. People around Vegakollai know where we are if they need anything. We don’t spend much time on the computer, mostly just handling the actual product and making sure the counts are right. It’s just honest work in a regular building on a regular street.
