You can find us on Voc Street in Panruti. We’ve been operating out of this spot in the Cuddalore district for a good while. We are traders, so our days are mostly filled with buying and selling. It’s mostly local stuff that passes through our hands. We deal with a lot of different people, from farmers to other shopkeepers in the area. The office at number 23 is usually full of bags or crates, depending on the season and what’s in demand. Panruti is a busy town, and our street is no different. There’s always a tractor or a truck blocking the way when we are trying to load things. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. We just talk to people face to face. That’s how we prefer to do business. We keep track of everything in our old ledgers. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it works for us. We aren't looking to expand into some massive corporation with hundreds of employees. We like being a local business where everyone knows your name. Sometimes the prices go up, sometimes they go down, and we just have to deal with it. It’s a lot of bargaining and checking the quality of the goods ourselves. We take our lunch breaks when things slow down in the afternoon. It’s a steady rhythm we’ve got here. We’ve seen the town change, but our corner on Voc Street stays the same. We just keep doing what we do.
