Syngenta India Ltd has a spot here in Mogalwadi, which is near Khopoli in the Raigad district. It’s a very rural, industrial kind of area, tucked away in Maharashtra. The air is a bit different out here than in Mumbai. Our place is basically a hub for the agricultural work that goes on in this part of the country. We don’t have any slick office furniture or high-tech lobbies. It’s more about the warehouses and the outdoor spaces where we handle the agricultural products. The roads getting to the Tal-Khalapur area can be a bit rough, especially when the monsoon hits Raigad. We spend our days mostly dealing with seeds and crop protection stuff. It’s a lot of physical work, moving bags and checking inventory. The office part is just where we keep the logs and take the phone calls. Most of the people working here are from the nearby villages. We aren't trying to be a corporate giant in our daily routine; we just focus on getting the right inputs to the farmers who need them. It gets hot and dusty in the summer, and the work can be tiring, but it's honest. There’s always something to do, whether it’s unloading a truck or talking to a local distributor. It’s a busy, unpolished site that just focuses on getting the job done without any extra fluff or fancy talk. It is just how we work here.
