Shubham General Store

Shubham General Store is sitting right in Krishna Colony, over in the Model Town area of Samalkha. If you know where Delhi Juice Corner is, then you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times. We aren't trying to be a big supermarket or anything like that. We’re just a local store where people come for their regular stuff. The shelves are usually pretty full, though sometimes we run out of things if the delivery truck is late. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in here when more than three people are shopping at once. We know most of our customers by name because they live just down the street. It’s a friendly enough atmosphere. We spend a lot of time stocking shelves and checking the dates on things. The floor isn't always perfectly level, and the lighting is a bit dim in the back, but it's home to us. We’ve been in Samalkha for a long time. It’s a decent neighborhood and people look out for each other. We don't have a website or any fancy tech. Just a ledger and some pens. When things get busy in the evenings, it can get a little chaotic, but we find our way through it. It’s just a plain old general store doing what it’s supposed to do for the folks nearby. We usually stay open late to help the office workers coming home. It is a simple life and we enjoy seeing the familiar faces every day.
