Our permanent base for Shah Granites Pvt Ltd. is back in Bursham, which is a village and post office in the Panipat district of Haryana. It’s a quiet place compared to the big cities. Shri Dharmpal Sharma’s family has been here for a long time. Even though we do business as a private limited company, we still feel like a local family operation. The air is different here in 132103. We don't have a glass-walled office or a fancy reception desk. Our workspace is more about function than looks. We have some stone samples and a lot of records kept in old cupboards. Most of our work involves sourcing and moving granite. It’s heavy work, and it’s often dirty. We don't wear suits to work; usually, it’s just sturdy clothes that can handle the dust. Sometimes we have to travel quite a bit across Haryana to see customers or check on supplies. The winters here can get really cold, and the summers are very hot, so we just adapt our schedule to the weather. We aren't interested in making big speeches or using fancy business terms. We just talk to people plainly and try to get the stone delivered where it needs to go. It’s a straightforward life in Bursham. We know our neighbors and they know us. That’s how we like to keep it. We've been around these parts for a long time.
