Royal Steel Furniture

Our shop, Royal Steel Furniture, sits right on Railway Road. It’s a busy spot since we're so close to the GT Road. You can usually hear the noise from the traffic while we’re working inside. We deal with all kinds of metal desks, cupboards, and chairs. Most of what we have is built to last, nothing too fancy but it gets the job done. I remember when we first moved into this space. It was a bit dusty, but it had enough room for the welding and the paint. Now, the floor is mostly covered in steel pipes and sheets. We spend most of our days measuring and cutting. Sometimes a customer comes in looking for something specific for their office or house. We talk it through and see what can be made. It's a small team here. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If the bell rings, one of us just wipes our hands and goes to see who it is. The heat from the tools makes the shop warm in the summer. We keep the doors open to catch a breeze from the road. People recognize the place by the stacks of frames sitting near the entrance. It’s a straightforward business. We make things, people buy them, and we move on to the next project. That’s how it’s been for years now, just keeping the shop going.
