About Rajiv Tex Machines – Metals & Minerals in Panipat
Our workshop is located at 0/5 in the Industrial Area, and it’s been the same way for years. We focus on textile machinery, so there is always a lot of grease and heavy parts lying around. The floor is concrete and has some cracks, but it holds up under the weight of the big looms we sometimes have to take apart. We spend our days mostly fixing gears or adjusting the belts on different machines. It’s not the cleanest environment, but that is how it goes with mechanical stuff. There is a small desk near the front where we keep the invoices, though it usually has a layer of lint on it. The air smells like machine oil and old fabric. We have a set of tools that we’ve used forever, and everyone knows exactly where each wrench is supposed to go. It gets quite warm in the summer because the roof is just corrugated metal. We usually leave the big sliding door open to catch a breeze. People from the nearby factories often stop by to borrow a tool or ask about a spare part. We aren't a big operation with a marketing team or anything. It’s just a couple of us who know how these machines are supposed to run. We spend a lot of time cleaning parts in a bucket of solvent. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from morning until evening.
