Panna Handloom Industries

We have been here at Shop No 16 in Maharaja Aggarsain Market for quite a while now. Most days it is just us surrounded by stacks of handloom fabrics that need sorting. It is a busy market and things can get a bit loud outside, but inside we just focus on the work. People come in looking for specific weaves or just something that feels right for their home. We do not have fancy displays or anything like that. It is mostly just shelves and shelves of cloth. Sometimes the piles get a bit messy when we are trying to find a particular color for someone, but that is how it goes in a small shop. You might have to step over a few bundles to get to the back. We spend a lot of time checking the threads and making sure everything looks okay before it goes out. It is simple work, really. There isn't much to say other than we show up every morning and open the shutters. The lighting in the market isn't always the best, so we often take pieces over to the door to see the real color in the sunlight. It is just a regular place where we deal with cottons and silks all day long. If you are walking through the market, you will see us there among all the other shops, just doing what we have always done with the fabrics at Panna Handloom Industries.
