You can find Krishna Krishna Jewellers on Old Court Road. Our shop is number 112. It is a very old part of town, so the roads are always busy with people and rickshaws moving about. We have been sitting in this same spot for quite some time now. The shop isn't very large, but we have enough room for a few customers to sit down and look at the jewelry pieces. We sell mostly gold and some silver items. A lot of our work involves making traditional designs for local families who have been coming to us for several generations. We don't have those big TV screens or air conditioning that makes you freeze when you walk in. It is just a regular shop with wooden counters and some mirrors on the walls so people can see how they look. We do our own billing by hand most of the time. My father and I run the place together. Sometimes the street outside gets blocked because of some local protest or a procession, so we just close the doors and wait for it to pass. We aren't trying to be the biggest jeweler in the city. We just want to do our work and keep our regular customers happy. People come here because they know the location and they know us by face. It is a very traditional way of doing things. We just open up every morning and see who comes in.
