Antik

Antik is tucked away in Shiv Nagar Krishanpura Mohalla Laikan, right near the Clock Tower. If you know the area, you know it’s a bit of a maze with narrow streets and lots of people moving about. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. The shop itself is packed with all sorts of things we’ve picked up over the years. It’s a bit cramped inside, and you have to watch your step so you don’t knock anything over. It’s not a shiny mall store. It’s an old-fashioned place with a lot of character and maybe a little bit of dust on the shelves. People come in looking for specific items, and half the time we have to dig through a pile to find what they want. It’s just how we operate. We don’t have a computer system to track everything; we just remember where we put stuff. The Clock Tower is a good landmark, so folks usually find us eventually. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we’re usually sitting out front when it’s not too busy. We like the history of the neighborhood and being part of the local market. It’s a slow pace of life here. We don’t rush anyone. If you want to spend an hour looking at old things, that’s fine with us. We just enjoy the company and the items we keep here.
