Jaypee Cement Grinding Unit

The grinding unit is situated in Village Khukharana, right along the Asandh Road. It’s a pretty easy place to spot because of the large structures and the trucks that are almost always lined up near the entrance. Grinding is a noisy and dusty process, so the site is always full of activity and the hum of the machines. We’ve been a part of the Khukharana community for a long time now. A lot of the local families have someone working here on one of the shifts. We keep the plant running as much as we can to stay on top of the demand. The office is a simple place where the supervisors keep track of the hourly output and the maintenance schedules. We don't go in for any kind of corporate polishing. It's an industrial site, and it looks like one. We take our breaks together and usually talk about the local news or whatever else is happening in the village. The Asandh Road is a main artery for us, and we are constantly coordinating with drivers to make sure the cement moves out as soon as it's ready. It’s a very practical, hands-on type of business. We don't have any big missions or slogans on the walls. We just come in, do our shifts, and make sure the grinding process stays consistent. It's hard work, but it's what we know how to do best in this part of the country.
