Aanya Fabrics is set up at Plot No. 112 in Hari Bagh Colony. It’s not a big commercial building. It feels more like a house that has been turned into a workplace. We have bolts of fabric in every room. Some are stacked on shelves, and others are just standing in the corners. We spend our time unrolling the cloth and looking for any flaws. It’s a lot of standing and walking around. The colony is usually pretty quiet, except for the occasional delivery truck. We don't have a fancy showroom with mannequins. We just have big wooden tables where we do the cutting. If you come by, you’ll probably find us with tape measures around our necks. We don't have a polished corporate look. We just wear our regular clothes and get to work. The floor is concrete and we have a few old chairs for when we take a break. We drink our tea and look out at the street. Most of our neighbors know what we do. We don't do much advertising. People just find Plot No. 112 when they need something specific. It’s a simple way of doing things. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the business. We keep things moving at our own pace and make sure the piles don't get too high.
