About Gupta Textiles – Fashion & Trends in Panipat
Gupta Textiles has been sitting here on Gohana Road for quite a while. We are very close to the sugar mills, so during certain times of the year, the whole area smells like crushed sugarcane and smoke. It’s a busy road with a lot of tractors and trucks moving back and forth, which makes it a bit dusty inside our shop. We deal in textiles, so we have huge stacks of fabric piled up against the walls. Sometimes it feels like the fabric is going to fall over if someone sneezes too hard. The building itself is older, with high ceilings and those big heavy doors that are hard to open in the winter. We have a small desk near the front where we keep the accounts, and it’s usually covered in tea stains and old pens. The light doesn't reach the back of the store very well, so we have to use flashlights sometimes to find specific patterns or colors. It’s not a place for browsing like a mall; it’s more of a warehouse where people come for specific needs. We spend a lot of time measuring out lengths of cloth on the big wooden counter that’s been there since the place opened. The staff is just a few of us who have lived in the area our whole lives. We know the road and we know the business, and that’s about it.
