Right now, we are out here at the Panipat Refinery Expansion Project. It’s a massive site and there is always something going on. As part of Engineers India Limited, New Delhi, we handle the construction side of things. It gets pretty dusty and loud with all the machinery moving around. We spend most of our time in the site office or walking around the refinery grounds. Panipat is a busy place, and this project keeps us on our toes every single day. The work is mostly about making sure everything gets built according to the plans. It’s not like a regular office job where you sit in a chair all day. We’re out in the heat quite a bit. There’s a lot of metal and concrete everywhere you look. It’s a big undertaking for the whole team. We eat our lunch quickly and get back to checking the progress. Some of us have been here since the start of the expansion. It’s honest work, even if it’s tiring. You can see the refinery towers from quite a distance away. We deal with the logistics and the crews on the ground. It’s just how things go at a major construction site like this. We don’t have much time for formalities. The focus is just on the day's tasks and the site schedule. It’s a rough environment but that’s just the nature of the industry we are in.
