Curtina Furnishing Designers

We are over at 374, Urban Est., Sec-11-12, Ph-I, running Curtina Furnishing Designers. It’s a decent-sized place where we handle a lot of fabric and design work. We started out small and stayed that way because we like being able to see everything that’s happening. The workshop gets a bit messy with scraps and patterns everywhere. You can usually hear the machines going if you walk in. We don’t have a big reception desk or anything. Most of the time, we’re in the back making sure the furnishings look right. The neighborhood in Phase I is quiet enough, which helps us focus. We aren't trying to change the world, just making sure people get what they asked for. Sometimes we run out of thread or a shipment arrives late, and we just deal with it. It’s not a polished showroom. It’s a place where work actually happens. We’ve been at 374 for years now and know most of the people around here. Curtina Furnishing Designers is basically just a few of us who enjoy the work. We don't use big words or have meetings that last for hours. We just get to work. It’s a simple setup and it suits us just fine. If the door is open, someone is usually inside working on a new project. We like the hands-on nature of the job and staying busy with our hands.
