Bhartiya Textiles & Handicrafts

Our workshop is located in Sector 25, which is part of the Huda Industrial Estate. It is a large area with a lot of different factories, so there is a constant hum of machines and the sound of trucks passing by. At Bhartiya Textiles & Handicrafts, we spend our days working on various pieces, some of which are done by hand and others that we use the machines for. Being at number 128, we have enough room to store our raw materials and have space for the actual work. It is not a place for customers to come and browse, it is just where the production happens. There are usually threads and small scraps of fabric all over the floor by the time we finish in the evening. We try our best to keep up with the work, but handmade items always take a bit longer than people expect. The air can get quite thick with lint, so we try to keep the windows open when the weather is nice. We work with different types of yarn and various tools to get the textures of the handicrafts just right. Most of the people working here have been in the trade for a very long time. We are not trying to be a massive operation, we just want to keep the quality consistent. Sometimes we run out of a specific thread and have to wait, which can be annoying. We just take it one day at a time.
