Jai Ambey Road Construction is located in Sector-6, right across from Him Garden. If you know the Shimla Inn, we are just a short walk from there. Our day usually starts before the sun is even fully up because the heat makes road work impossible later on. You can usually find our crew wearing their worn-out boots and high-vis vests, getting the rollers ready. The office is just a simple room where we keep the logs and the payroll stuff. It’s not very quiet since the road outside is always busy with people going to the garden or the inn. We deal with a lot of asphalt, gravel, and heavy machinery every single day. It gets under your fingernails and stays there. People in the neighborhood see us out there patching up the lanes or laying down fresh blacktop when the weather allows for it. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Most of our work comes from just being around and doing what needs to be done on the local roads. Sometimes the rain messes up our schedule and we end up sitting around the office drinking chai and waiting for the clouds to clear. It’s a bit of a rough job, but it’s what we know. We just focus on getting the next stretch of road finished so people can get where they’re going.
