Fate Earth Movers

Operating out of the Market Yard Shopping Centre has its ups and downs. Being at number 18 means we are right in the thick of things on Kbp College Road. In the mornings, you have all the vendors setting up, and then later on, the students from the college start walking by. It is a busy atmosphere with a lot of shouting and horns honking. We handle earth moving equipment, which feels a bit strange sometimes being so close to a shopping center, but it works for us. The space isn't huge, so we have to be careful how we park the bigger machines. Usually, someone is complaining about a tractor blocking a walkway, but we try to move them fast. The office is small and filled with old ledgers and empty chai cups. We spend more time out on the sites than sitting in here anyway. My brother handles the scheduling while I look at the engines. It’s loud, it’s crowded, and there is always something happening outside the door. Sometimes we get people coming in thinking we sell something else because of the "Shopping Centre" name, and we have to tell them we just do the heavy lifting stuff. The road gets really congested around lunch, so we usually just stay put. It’s not the quietest place to have a business, but we are used to the rhythm of the market yard by now.
