We are located out in the GIDC Colony in the Panchmahal district. It’s a fairly large site, covering plots 122 and 127, so there is a lot of space to manage. Working at Yanfeng Visteon India Automotive Trim Systems Private Limited means we are always surrounded by car parts and interior trims. The factory floor is where most of us spend the day, watching the assembly lines and checking the components. It’s a long name for a company, but to us, it’s just the place where we come to work every morning. Panchmahal is a bit out of the way for some, but the industrial colony here stays busy. We have quite a few people working shifts, so the parking lot is usually full by eight in the morning. It gets hot inside during the summer months, but we have our routines to keep things moving. We don't spend much time on fancy presentations or corporate talk; we’re more concerned with making sure the machines are running and the parts are packed correctly. There’s a lot of coordination needed when you have this many plots of land to oversee. Some days the logistics are a bit of a puzzle, but we manage to figure it out eventually. It’s a lot of repetitive tasks, but everyone knows their role well. We just focus on the daily output and making sure we don't run out of materials before the week is over. It’s practical work for a practical team in the heart of GIDC.
