Prakash Forgings

Prakash Forgings is out in the G.I.D.C. Estate in Godhra, specifically at plot number 85. This is an industrial area, so it is all about hard work and heavy machinery around here. We spend our days working with metal, heating it up and shaping it into parts. It is hot work, especially in the summer months, but that is just the nature of a forging shop. We have been in this shed for years. The floor is concrete and usually has some grease on it, and there is always the sound of hammers or machines running in the background. We are not the biggest outfit in the estate, but we stay busy with the orders that come in. Most of our neighbors are doing similar industrial stuff. We do not have a fancy office or a secretary out front to greet people. Usually, if you come by, you will find us on the shop floor with our sleeves rolled up. We handle various types of forging work depending on what the local industries need from us. It is a practical business. We focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the metal is strong enough for the job. Some days are long when a machine breaks down or a big order is due, but we manage to get through it. We have seen Godhra change over the years, but the industrial estate stays pretty much the same. We are just one of those shops making parts.
