It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you are coming from the city, but it’s where all the work happens. We deal with a lot of heavy inventory, mostly tyres and tubes for different vehicles. The yard is usually full of stacks of rubber and there’s always a faint smell of it in the air. It’s a hardworking environment. We don't have a big office building with air conditioning. It’s mostly just the warehouse and a small room where we handle the billing and phone calls. The sun gets quite hot in this part of the country, so we try to get most of the heavy lifting done early in the day. Our staff is mostly local people who have been with us for a long time. We don't do any flashy marketing or have a big sales team. People know us through word of mouth or because they’ve been buying from us for years. We just focus on keeping the stock ready for when the trucks arrive. It’s a straightforward business without any fuss. Some days are dusty and tiring, but that is just part of the job. We take our breaks under the shade and keep things moving as best as we can.
