Shalimar Soda

You can find us over at Shalimar Soda in the Astana Market area, which is part of the Mahisagar district. We are a local business through and through. Our shop in the market is not very big, but we have managed to fit everything we need into the space. Most of the day is spent bottling up soda and talking to the customers who walk by our front door. The market is always loud with people shouting and bikes zooming past, so there is never a dull moment. We have been here for quite some time, and the walls show a bit of age, but it feels like home to us. We don't use any fancy technology to run things. We just keep track of everything in a ledger and make sure the bottles are clean and filled correctly. It is a simple life, and we like it that way. When the weather gets hot, the demand for a cold soda goes up, and we are usually on our feet from sunrise until the market starts to close down at night. We don't have a big marketing budget or any of that. People just know us because we have been in the same spot for years. We just try to keep the fridge cold and the floors swept. It is just us doing our best in Mahisagar, one day at a time.
