From the time we open the doors, there is a constant flow of people passing by or stopping in to ask about something. We have been in this spot for years, and the walls have seen a lot of change in the market. We mostly deal with general supplies and whatever else our regulars are looking for. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside with all the stock we try to keep on hand. We don't have a big corporate team; it’s just a handful of us making sure everything is counted and put away correctly. The Sector 16 market is a great place to be because you get to know all the other shopkeepers and the people who live nearby. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to use flashlights for a bit, but we just keep going. We don’t have a fancy mission statement or a glossy brochure. We just try to have what people need when they need it. It’s practical work. When the market gets loud on the weekends, it can be a bit overwhelming, but that’s just part of being in business here.
