United Engineers (India)

You can find us at 1212/11 in Milap Nagar, right off Hissar Road. United Engineers (India) is basically a group of us who enjoy fixing things and figuring out how stuff works. We’ve been in this spot for a good bit now. The workshop can get a little dusty, and there’s always a project or two sitting on the floor half-finished. We take on various engineering tasks that come our way. It isn't always glamorous, and sometimes we end up with grease under our fingernails, but it's what we do. The neighborhood knows us pretty well. We aren't a massive corporation with a glass building; we just have our practical space where we can get the job done. If a neighbor needs a bit of metalwork or someone has a technical problem with a machine, they usually wander in. We keep a lot of tools around and sometimes it takes a minute to find the exact wrench we need. Hissar Road is a busy stretch, so there's always the sound of traffic in the background. We don't bother with fancy uniforms or slick presentations. Most of our time is spent looking at blueprints or welding something together. It’s practical work for practical people. We just try to do right by the folks who bring their projects to us. It keeps us busy and the lights on, which is all we really want at the end of the day.
