Textown Textile Engineers

We set up shop at No. H-3 in the Textile Colony. It’s in the industrial area, right near the Shiv Mandir. You can usually hear the bells from the temple in the morning when we’re opening up. Being in the Textile Colony means everyone around us is doing something related to cloth or looms. We focus on the engineering side of things, like fixing the machines or making spare parts. The air inside is often full of lint and dust, so we have to clean the machines constantly. It’s a specialized kind of work. We’ve been here for a long time, and we know most of the mill owners around here. Our workshop is full of gears and spindles. It’s not a very modern-looking place, just a lot of iron and grease. We have a small desk tucked in the corner where we keep the bills. Sometimes we go over to the temple during our lunch break just to get a bit of peace. The street outside is narrow and often blocked by trucks loading up fabric. We just work around it. We don't have a big corporate structure. It's just me and a few technicians who know their way around a loom. We fix things as they come in. It’s honest work and it keeps the mills running. Sometimes the machines we work on are so old that we have to make the parts from scratch because nobody sells them anymore. That takes a lot of time and patience. We have a small radio that plays songs while we work.
