Sona Spices Pvt Ltd.

Our place, Sona Spices Pvt Ltd., is situated in New Luxmi Nagar, which is part of the Jandli area in Ambala. If you walk down our street, you can usually smell the pepper or the turmeric long before you see the building at number 6. Haryana gets quite warm, and when the spice grinders are going, the air gets a bit heavy, so we always keep the back doors open for a breeze. It is a family-sort of atmosphere here, with a few of us who have lived in Ambala our whole lives. We do not have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It is mostly just bags of raw materials and the smell of ground spices that sticks to your clothes. The floors are concrete and they get stained orange from the spices, but that is just part of the job. People around Jandli sometimes stop by just to say hello or ask what we are grinding that day. We have a small area where we pack everything into boxes. It is not a massive operation, but we stay busy enough that the days go by fast. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the front door during the monsoon, but we just put a bucket down and keep moving. We are just simple people making sure the spices are sorted and packed.
