Down here at Plot No 67 in Sector 17, things stay pretty busy. We are in the HSIIDC area of Bahadurgarh, which is basically nothing but factories and warehouses. Shivalik Foams And Fabrics Privatelimited operates out of this space, and it’s mostly filled with big rolls of foam and stacks of industrial fabric. The smell of materials is pretty strong when you first walk in, but you stop noticing it after ten minutes. It’s a dusty place, no matter how much we sweep. Being in Jhajjar district means we are a bit out of the way, but the industrial park here has everything we need to keep running. We deal with manufacturers mostly, so it’s all about bulk and getting the measurements right. I’ve seen this area grow a lot over the years. When we first started, there were fewer buildings around. Now, it’s a lot of traffic and trucks. The office part of the building is just a small corner with some old desks and a computer that acts up sometimes. We don't spend much time sitting down anyway. Most of the day is spent on the warehouse floor checking the foam density or making sure the fabric isn't snagged. It’s hard work, and the summer heat in Haryana makes the tin roof feel like an oven. But we just keep at it because that’s the job we have. We aren't doing anything fancy, just moving foam and fabric day in and day out.
