Radhee Handloom

Radhee Handloom sits on the ground floor at Das.267 in Sector 20. It is not a very big space, but we make it work by stacking the fabric all the way to the ceiling in some parts. The light comes in through the front door and hits the different colored threads we keep on the shelves. We spend most of our time working with the looms or measuring out cloth for people who walk in. It is a quiet kind of work, mostly just the sound of the equipment and the occasional neighbor stopping by to say hello. Sector 20 is a decent area and we have been here long enough that we know most of the people on this block. We do not have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the materials. Sometimes the floor gets covered in scraps of cotton and silk, so we have to sweep it out every couple of hours to keep things tidy. We don't have a website or a marketing department. If people want to see what we have, they usually just walk through the door and look at the stacks themselves. It is a simple way to run a business, but it keeps us busy and the work is honest. We just focus on the texture of the cloth and making sure the colors look right before we put them out.
