We’ve been set up here in Jalouli for a while now. It’s a bit out of the main city center of Panchkula, but we like the quiet of the village and the post office is just right there. Most days it’s just us handling the paperwork and dealing with whoever stops by the office. The drive out here isn't too bad once you get used to the roads in this part of Haryana. We have a small desk and some old chairs where we sit and go through the files. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we usually keep the fans running full speed. People sometimes have a hard time finding the exact spot because the village layout is a bit confusing to outsiders, but if you ask anyone near the post office, they usually point you toward us. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just the name on the door. There’s a tea stall down the road that we go to when we need a break from the computer screens. Most of the work involves keeping track of the development projects and making sure the records are straight. It’s not a glamorous setup, but it works for what we need to do. We’ve stayed in this same spot in Tehsil Panchkula because it's convenient for the local staff who live nearby and it keeps us grounded in the community.
