Morni Hills Welfare Foundation

Our foundation is located in Village Chalap, which is out in the Panchkula district. We operate out of the space belonging to Madan Lal and Tula Ram. Being out here near the Morni Hills means the air is a bit fresher than in the main city, but the roads can be a bit of a steep climb sometimes. It is a small village setup. We don't have a high-rise office or a fleet of fancy cars. Most of the time, we are just sitting on the porch or in the main room talking about what the village needs. It might be something to do with the local water supply or helping the school kids with their supplies. We have been part of this community for a long time, so almost everyone knows exactly where to find us. The building is an old-style structure that has seen a lot of different seasons. We have a few wooden benches for people to sit on while they wait to talk to us. It is not about being fancy or looking important; it is just about being available when someone knocks. We spend our days walking around the village or meeting with the elders to discuss local matters. The pace is much slower here, which suits our team just fine. We handle the welfare work by just being present and listening to what people have to say. Sometimes the power goes out for hours, so we just work by the light coming in from the windows.
