Jaipur Marble Murti Kendra

You can find Jaipur Marble Murti Kendra at Shop No-151/156 inside the Mansa Devi Complex. We are situated in Sector-4 which is a pretty easy area to get to. The shop itself is filled with marble pieces and there is always white dust on the floor. We try to sweep it up but it just comes back as soon as we start working again. It’s part of the life here. The complex is usually busy with people coming and going for different things. Our space is big enough for us to work on several murties at once. We spend our days carving and polishing the stone. It is hard on the back but we don't mind much. Sometimes the noise from the tools is quite loud so we have to shout to hear each other. We’ve been in this sector for a while now and most of the other shop owners are our friends. We eat our lunch together sometimes in the small alleyway. It is not a corporate setup at all. It is just a bunch of us working with our hands. We take our time with the marble because you can't rush it or it might crack. It’s a slow process but we like seeing things take shape. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The dust gets into everything but we are just used to it by now.
