About Dipika Fabrics – Packaging Machines & Materials in Panchkula
Our place, Dipika Fabrics, is at Plot No. 399 in Phase-1 of the Industrial Area. It’s a big rectangular building, like most of the others on this street. We’ve been here for a while now, surrounded by factories and trucks. Inside, it’s usually quite noisy because of the machines running. We handle a lot of fabric every day, moving rolls from one side to the other. It gets dusty, and there’s always bits of thread on the floor no matter how much we sweep. The staff is mostly local people who know their way around a loom or a cutting table. We aren't some high-end fashion house; we just produce the materials that people need. Sometimes the colors don't come out exactly right the first time, so we have to do it over. That’s just part of the job. Lunch breaks are usually spent sitting outside if the weather is nice. We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go in Phase-1, but we’ve managed to stick around. It's not always easy, especially when the cost of raw materials goes up, but we find a way to keep going. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or advertising. Most people find us because they know we’re here at Plot 399. It’s just a regular workplace where people work hard and go home at the end of the shift. It’s a decent life and we’re proud of what we make.
