Asquare Computer Academy

Our little academy is located at Sco 66 in Sector 11. It is a decent spot, though parking can be a bit of a headache during the afternoon hours. We have a room filled with computers where students come to learn the basics. Most of them want to know how to use office programs or just how to navigate the internet better. The fans in the computers make a constant humming sound that you get used to after a while. I spend a lot of time just walking between the desks and showing people where to click or how to fix a typo. Some of the keyboards have letters worn off because so many hands have used them. We started this because we saw that everyone needed to know a bit about technology to get any job these days. It’s not a fancy college or anything like that, just a place to sit down and practice. We have some older machines and some newer ones, depending on what we could get our hands on. In the summers, it gets really hot in here even with the fans going. We keep a water cooler in the corner for the students. It is mostly quiet work, just the sound of clicking and people asking questions. We don’t have a huge staff, just a couple of us who know our way around a motherboard. It’s a simple setup but it works for what we need.
