Government Hospital

You can find our government hospital right opposite the MGVCL in Kalol. It is also known as the Referral Hospital or CHC. It is a big landmark in this part of town. We have been here for quite some time, and the building shows its age a little bit if you look closely. There is a lot of activity throughout the day. Since we are right across from the MGVCL, people use that as a way to explain where we are located to their friends. The hospital stays crowded because we get referrals from smaller clinics nearby. This means we often have more people than we have seats for in the lobby. People end up waiting in the corridors or outside near the front entrance. It is a government-run place, so things move at their own pace. We have the usual wards and a small emergency section. The doctors here work very hard to see everyone who shows up. It is not a shiny or modern-looking place at all. We have old fans that creak and some of the chairs are a bit wobbly when you sit on them. But it is where the people of Kalol come when they need real help. We don't do any advertising at all. We don't need to because the waiting room is always full. It is a place of work, not a place for luxury. We keep the registers updated and try to make sure everyone gets their turn. It is a bit messy and loud sometimes, but it is an essential part of Kalol.
