Khyati Ceramics

Khyati Ceramics is located at 179-180/A in the G.I.D.C. Estate, over by P.O. Derol in Kalol. It’s a bit of a drive out here, but it’s where we’ve always been. The work we do involves a lot of handling of materials, so things can get a bit messy, but that’s just the nature of ceramics. We have a couple of sheds that make up our space. It isn't a high-tech facility with robots or anything. It's mostly just hands-on work and keeping an eye on the kilns and the drying racks. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of what comes out. If it’s not right, we start over. We don't have a marketing department writing stories about us. We’re just the people who show up every morning at the Kalol estate to get things made. The weather plays a big part in how we work, especially with the drying process. Some days are better than others. We have a small desk for the billing, but most of the action is in the back where the actual making happens. It’s a quiet life for the most part, away from the big city noise. We’ve built up a rhythm over the years at 179-180/A. It’s a simple business, run by people who live nearby and know the trade. We just keep our focus on the crates being loaded and the materials coming in. We don't worry about being the biggest, just about being consistent. Most days, we finish up just as the sun is setting over the estate.
