Bali Engineering

Bali Engineering is our small shop at Plot No. 168/2. We are right opposite the R. T. C. in the Gidc Industrial Estate. Being near the RTC is handy because everyone knows where that is. We do a lot of general engineering work. It’s mostly about fixing parts, turning things on the lathe, and handling whatever repairs come through the door. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and a bit of oil, but that’s an engineering shop for you. I’ve been working here for years, and I still enjoy the sound of the machines starting up in the morning. We have a few older guys who really know their stuff and some younger ones learning the trade. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and talk to whoever is closest to the front. We aren't big on formalities. If something needs fixing, we look at it and tell you if we can do it. Sometimes we’re backed up for a week, and other times we can get to it right away. The industrial estate can be a bit chaotic with all the movement, but our little corner stays pretty focused. We take pride in just being able to solve mechanical problems without making a big deal out of it. It's a good way to earn a living and keep the local industries moving along. We just do what we know.
