Amarlal Masala Udyog

Amarlal Masala Udyog is located in the G.I.D.C. Industrial Estate in Panchmahal District. We are situated near Lunawada Road, which is the main way people get to us. Being in an industrial estate means there are lots of other factories around, so it’s always noisy with trucks and sirens. We have a medium-sized unit where we grind our masalas. It’s a very dusty environment and we all wear cloths over our faces to keep from sneezing too much. We aren't a big corporation with a fancy lobby. If you come visit, you’ll probably just see us in our work clothes covered in spice powder. We’ve been here for several years now and we know the rhythms of the estate. The summer heat is the worst part because the machines give off their own heat too. We drink a lot of water and just keep going. We don't spend any money on advertising or trying to look polished. We just make the masala and sell it to the wholesalers who come by. It’s a straightforward business and we don't try to make it sound like anything else. We have our regulars who trust us and that’s what keeps the lights on. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just do our work on Lunawada Road and go home to our families at night. It is a simple, hardworking life for all of us here.
