We’re tucked away over in Santissmo Waddo in Taleigao, at No. 17-258. The area is pretty quiet, not like the busy tourist spots you see in the magazines. We handle holiday stuff, but we do it from here at the office. It’s a small room with a few desks and a lot of papers everywhere. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or checking schedules for people. Taleigao is a nice place to work because it’s calm. Nevis Holidays isn’t a huge agency with a hundred people. It’s just us trying to figure out the best way for people to get from one place to another without too much trouble. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we have to wait to book things, which can be annoying, but we manage. We’ve lived around here for a long time, so we know the shortcuts and the local spots. People come in to ask about tickets or where they should go for their break. We don't have a fancy waiting room or anything. Just a couple of chairs. We try to be honest about what’s possible and what isn't. If a flight is going to be a headache, we say so. It’s better that way. We like seeing people come back with photos or stories from their trips. It makes the long hours at the desk worth it. If you’re in the Waddo, you can just stop by. We’re usually there unless we’re out running errands or getting lunch. We keep a stack of maps in the corner even though everyone uses phones now.
