Group Outing

We are based in Santa Cruz. Group Outing started because we realized people just wanted to get out and do something different for a change. It's pretty simple. We look at what's available nearby and help organize trips or activities. There isn't much to it besides knowing the local spots and what’s fun to do. Santa Cruz is a good middle point for a lot of what we do. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees and fancy uniforms. Most of us just like being outdoors and seeing people have a good time without too much fuss. We don't use big buses or flashy signs. Usually, it’s just about getting a group together and heading out for the day. Sometimes things don't go exactly as planned, like when the weather turns or a trail is closed off, but we just figure it out. That's part of the experience. We've lived around here for a long time, so we know the shortcuts and the quiet places that aren't on every tourist map. It's a small operation. We spend our days on the phone or checking out new locations to see if they're worth a visit. We don't really do the whole "corporate retreat" thing in a stiff way. It's more like a group of friends or coworkers wanting to escape the office for a bit. We just help them make that happen without the headache of planning every little detail themselves. It’s just us.
