Shiv Shakti Trading Company

Our place, Shiv Shakti Trading Company, is right on Asabata Road, very close to the Hanuman Mandir. You can hear the temple bells from our front door during the morning prayers. Being near the Railway Station Road means there are always people walking past. It’s a very active part of town. We trade in different goods, mostly stuff that the local shops and contractors need. Our warehouse is right behind the main counter, and it stays pretty cool in there even when the sun is beating down on the road. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading bags and crates. It’s physically tiring work, but it’s what we know. The office is just a small corner with a couple of chairs and a computer that’s seen better days. We don’t have any big corporate signs or uniforms. Most days we are just in our regular clothes, dealing with whoever walks in. It gets dusty because of the traffic on the main road, so we are always wiping down the counters. Sometimes the station traffic makes it hard for our trucks to get in and out, so we have to plan our timings carefully. We’ve been at this spot for a long time, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot. The temple is a good landmark for people who haven't been here before. We just try to stay busy and keep the business running.
