Out here in Maheshpur, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Jmk Enterprises is based in Shop No. 4 right on Nuh Road. It’s in the Palwal area. We opened up here because it seemed like a good spot where people could actually reach us without driving for hours. The shop is pretty basic. We have some shelves, a desk, and enough room to move around. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer, but we keep the fan going. We deal with all sorts of people from the local farms and the nearby villages. It’s mostly practical work we do here. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the sign out front. My cousin helps me out when things get busy. We try to be fair with everyone who walks through the door. Sometimes the electricity goes out, which is just life in this part of Tehsil. We just wait it out and get back to work when the lights come back on. People know they can find us here most days of the week. We’ve been part of this community for a while now. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. We like the quiet of the evening when the traffic on Nuh Road finally dies down. It's a simple life here in Maheshpur, and we wouldn't change it for much.
