Down on the Dudhola Link Road, the tractor division is a busy place to be. We’re located in Village Dudhola at Plant-II. It’s a bit of a trek from the main city, but there’s a lot of space out here which we need for all the big machinery. Every morning the gates open and the yard starts filling up with activity. You see a lot of heavy metal moving around and the sound of engines being tested is pretty much the soundtrack to our lives. It’s a big plant, so there’s always something happening in one corner or another. We spend our days dealing with tires, transmissions, and heavy frames. It’s honest, sweaty work, especially when the sun is beating down on the yard. We aren't the type to sit in air-conditioned offices all day; most of us are right there on the line or out by the loading docks. There’s a certain way the air smells out here—a mix of dry earth and diesel exhaust. We’ve got a lot of local guys working here, and we all just try to get the tractors ready for whenever they’re needed. Action Construction Equipment Ltd. isn't a polished corporate setup; it’s a factory in a village where things are built to be tough. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay out of the sun when we can.
