Aalami Nizam Foundation

The Aalami Nizam Foundation is based out of Nangla Ahsanpur village. If you are looking for us, we are right near the Badi Masjid in Hodal. It is a very local setting. The office is basically a couple of rooms in a house. You can hear the call to prayer from the mosque five times a day, and there are always goats or cows walking past the entrance. It is a very different vibe from a city office. We sit on rugs or simple wooden chairs and talk about the foundation's work. Most of what we do involves the people right here in the village and the surrounding areas. We don't have high-speed internet all the time, so we do a lot of things by hand or on the phone. It is a community place. People stop by to chat or ask for advice throughout the day. We have a big pot of water kept cool in the shade for anyone who is thirsty. The air is clear, but it gets very hot in the summer afternoons. We usually take a long break when the sun is at its highest and then get back to work in the evening. It’s a slow pace of life, but we get things done in our own way. We are just part of the village, trying to keep things running and help out our neighbors.
